Home Electrical Installations & Smaller Jobs

Ceiling fans, outlets and switches, smoke and CO detectors, dedicated circuits, hot-tub hookups, and home electrical inspections. The smaller jobs around the house, handled with the same care as our larger projects.

Overview

Smaller Jobs, Done Properly

A lot of home electrical work isn't a renovation or a major upgrade. It's a ceiling fan you've been meaning to put in, a detector that needs replacing, a new circuit for an appliance, or a hot tub that needs power.

Art Power handles these smaller installations for homeowners across our New Jersey service area, with the same clean work and clear communication we bring to larger projects.

What We Install

Installations & Smaller Jobs We Handle

Ceiling Fan Installation

Installing new ceiling fans or replacing existing ones, including swapping a light fixture for a fan.

Outlets & Switches

Adding, replacing, or relocating outlets and switches around the house.

Smoke & CO Detectors

Installing and replacing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Dedicated Circuits

A circuit of its own for an appliance or piece of equipment that shouldn't share one with anything else.

Hot-Tub Electrical Hookups

The electrical hookup for a new or replacement hot tub.

Home Electrical Inspections

A look at your home's electrical system so you know where things stand before you plan other work.

Bigger Than Expected?

When a Small Job Turns Out to Be More

Sometimes a small job points to something bigger: a circuit that keeps tripping, a panel without room for a new circuit, or older wiring that needs attention. When that happens, we'll explain what we found and what your options are.

Troubleshooting is covered under our electrical repairs service, larger wiring work under wiring and rewiring, and panel changes under panel and service upgrades.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of smaller electrical jobs do you handle?

Art Power handles ceiling fan installation, outlet and switch installation and replacement, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, dedicated circuits, hot-tub electrical hookups, and home electrical inspections.

Do you install ceiling fans?

Yes. We install new ceiling fans and replace existing ones, including putting a fan where a light fixture is now.

Can you add or replace outlets and switches?

Yes. We add new outlets and switches, replace old ones, and relocate them when a room's layout changes.

Do you install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors?

Yes. Art Power installs and replaces smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in homes.

What is a dedicated circuit, and do I need one?

A dedicated circuit serves a single appliance or piece of equipment instead of sharing a circuit with other outlets and lights. If you're adding something new, we can look at whether it needs its own circuit and whether your panel has room for one. If the panel is short on space, that becomes a panel and service upgrade question.

Do you do hot-tub electrical hookups?

Yes. Art Power provides the electrical hookup for residential hot tubs. Tell us about the tub and where it's going when you request an estimate.

Do you do home electrical inspections?

Yes. We inspect a home's electrical system and explain what we find, so you know where things stand before planning other work.

What about light fixtures?

Interior light fixtures and recessed lighting are covered under our Recessed & Interior Lighting service, and exterior lighting under Landscape & Outdoor Lighting.

What if I don't know which electrical service I need?

You do not need to diagnose or categorize the project before contacting us. Tell us what you want installed, changed, or looked at, and we can determine what type of electrical work the project involves.
